Since 1984, he has been developing the open computer architecture TRON. TRON has been widely adopted around the world in digital devices, home appliances, engine controls for automobiles, rocket control systems, and more, as the IEEE standard embedded OS (IEEE 2050-2018). In addition, he has expanded his design activities extensively into homes, museums, buildings, and cities. In 2023, the "TRON Real-time OS Family" and in 2024, "The Pioneering TRON Intelligent House" were both recognized as IEEE Milestones.
