Since joining MathWorks in 2016, I have supported MATLAB users, mainly in the automotive industry. Before that, I spent around 20 years developing software for automotive companies. As a student, I was immersed in pure mathematics, unsure of its real-world use, and graduated with many questions. Entering the automotive industry, I began with simulator development and quickly regretted skipping C programming courses. Encountering legacy code with difference equations was an eye-opening moment. Later, in control logic development, I discovered the connection between vibration problems and eigenvalue analysis, prompting more reflections on my student days. Since then, I have worked on experiment equipment, development support tools, European standards research, prototype software, and testing—mathematics appearing at every turn. Today, I strive to convey the power and practical value of MathWorks tools in a clear and engaging way.
