Tasuku Ishigooka received his Ph.D. degree from the Graduate School of Informatics, Nagoya University, Japan. He is currently a senior engineer with Technology Development Functional Division, Astemo, Ltd. His responsibilities include the strategic design of next-generation software platforms. He also leads the development of software-defined vehicle platforms in collaboration with customers, partners, universities, and open communities. His research interests include safety-critical software platform for cloud-based autonomous control systems.

For over 30 years, primarily worked on new businesses in the semiconductor and embedded IT fields, focusing on starting and expanding multiple businesses from scratch. In the 1990s, worked in business development at a local semiconductor company in Silicon Valley (C-Cube Microsystems). After returning to Japan, worked as a Director of the Consumer Electronics BU at ATI (now AMD), country manager at a French startup company, and Senior Director of the Embedded BU at Oracle, before the current position at Linaro.

Promoting Automotive Marketing activities at Arm K.K. in Japan after experienced R&D, Field Application Engineering and Marketing at Automotive Tier1 suppliers, Semiconductor Venture companies and Automotive Software Development tool chain company for over 34 years.
