Security in the Quantum Era: New Challenges Facing the IoT

Presented bywolfSSL Inc.

With recent technological breakthroughs toward the realization of quantum computers, the risk of attacks on existing systems is suddenly becoming a reality. Meanwhile, progress is being made in the development and standardization of post-quantum cryptography (PQC) technologies that can withstand such attacks and protect existing systems, and security products that comply with these technologies are beginning to be offered. This session will focus on use cases such as security protocols like TLS and SSH, as well as secure bootloading and firmware updates, and will explain the preparations that product manufacturers are required to make to ensure security in the quantum computing era.
