Thematic Seminar

Developing IoT Devices with SoM and Container-Based Linux OS
- Achieve JC-STAR-compliant security

Presented byAtmark Techno, Inc.

The adoption of System on Module (SoM) significantly reduces the complexity of carrier board design, development time, and costs. Atmark Techno's Armadillo Base OS (ABOS) is a container-based Linux OS that not only features a lightweight and compact OS architecture but also includes OTA (Over The Air) update capabilities, robust implementations to enhance reliability, and mechanisms to meet the security requirements of JC-STAR. By combining SoM with ABOS, developers can address security requirements while minimizing the development effort and duration for IoT devices, allowing them to focus on application development. In this session, we will discuss the security mechanisms implemented in ABOS.
