Research Dicrections in LLM Secuirty

Artificial intelligence’s rapid evolution is bringing significant changes to the offense and defense of cyber security. This talk provides an overview of which areas within cyber security are considered promising for application of advanced language model intelligence, and examines the technologies and specific research papers that suppress hallucinations and harmful behavior in order to obtain useful results, as well as their effectiveness.

Akria Otsuka

Akira Otsuka completed a Ph.D. at the University of Tokyo and served as a researcher at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) from 2005 to 2017, where he led the Research Team for Security Fundamentals Technology (2006‑2010); he has been a professor in Instite of Information Security (IISEC) since 2017, while also serves part‑time lecturer positions at Tokyo University of Science (2009‑2011), Josai University (2015‑2022), JAIST (2016), and Osaka University (2022‑2025); he was a visiting scholar at the Bank of Japan, IMES (2020‑2021). He is a member of IEICE, IPSJ, JSAI, and IEEE, serves as an advisor to the IEICE BioX, leads the JNSA IAC3 and JSAI SIG‑SEC.
