LoRa&LoRaWAN latest trends in Japan/ Ultra Sensitive Capacitive Sensor Solutions for IoT

Presented bySEMTECH Japan G.K.

The urgent need for LPWA IoT solutions in Japan is quickly increasing due to a rapid aging of the population and the decrease in the labor force. Multiple LPWA solutions are available, but LoRa stands out as the best LPWA solution that can realize smarter, more efficient, and lower cost solutions. LoRaWAN solutions have a proven track record in Japan and the latest developments and trends in the Japanese market will be presented. The latest generation of Capacitive Sensors from Semtech enable a new range of capabilities previously not possible and when combined with LoRa can be made into a extremely small and energy efficient module that can be run off coin batteries. Long battery life and long distance LoRa transmissions of the sensor data is made possible. Various experimental examples will be presented
