As consumer needs get more diverse, it becomes more important to adopt software-first business model in order to provide value flexibly and speedily. In order to achieve this, it is necessary to change the style of software development in the field and foster software-first human resources. In this lecture, we will give an overview of "software-first" and introduce specific reskilling measures to achieve that, including how to secure such human resources and how to train busy engineers.

WATANABE Hiroyuki

After graduating from Yokohama National University, WATANABE Hiroyuki worked at a manufacturer, and since 1996, he has been engaged in supporting the introduction of object-oriented technology in the embedded field. As a consultant, he provides on-site support and human resource development in many fields such as FA equipment, automobiles, and digital home appliances. He established Exmotion Co., Ltd. in September 2008. In addition, he is a director of the Japan Embedded Systems Technology Association and a representative of the Derivative Development Promotion Council.
