While based on concepts of DevSecOps and Zero Trust, containers, microservices and serverless platform are widely adopted, roles of application architects become more and more important in the fields of security, safety, and quality assurance for IoT/Edge Computing. I’d like to present unique challenges of cloud native architecture, and trends of standardization & automation in security management.

Dr. Eiji Sasahara, Representative of the Board of Directors at the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) Japan Chapter Inc., is currently focusing on raising awareness and promoting initiatives for utilizing emerging technologies on the Cloud in pharmaceutical and medical industries. He has experience in clinical research regarding team-based care for outpatient chemotherapy utilizing Digital Health, jointly with the St. Luke & International Hospital, Tokyo. He holds a BA from Keio University, an MBA from Boston University Graduate School of Management and a Ph.D. in Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences from Chiba University Graduate School of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
