Digital Twin Evolution from the Perspective of Smart City International Standardization
Standardization discussion often begins before the emerging technologies and services are completely developed. It is expected that we can grasp a future direction of the technologies or market by monitoring standardization discusison. This trend can be seen in Smart City standardization. This presentation introduces what Digital Twin is discussed in Smart City international standardization and considers its evolution.

Toru Yamada
Dr. Toru Yamada joined NEC Corporation and engaged in research and development of video codecs and video quality metrics. Since 2011, he has been involved in standardization of IoT and Smart Cities in some organizations including oneM2M, APT ASTAP, ITU-T IoT-GSI, and ITU-T SG20. Since 2017, he has been appointed as the chair of EG IOT in APT ASTAP. Since 2019, he has been appointed as the vice chair of ITU-T SG20. Dr. Yamada is a part time lecturer at Chuo University and Tokyo Metropolitan University.
