Sounding Agile at the Maze of Manufacturing Company

DAIKIN INDUSTRIES, LTD. has been focusing on the development of IT professionals. In the process, we established an Agile insourcing team and adopted a full-cycle approach covering from development to maintenance. Initially, we were not able to fully demonstrate its effectiveness, and the operation was formalized. Yet, through continuous inspection and adaptation, we have evolved into a team that embodies Agile and leads the company. We now focus on spreading the development culture and providing technical support to the entire organization. Today, we'll talk about the value of developing software insourcing in a manufacturing company, the insights gained through the introduction of Agile, and the process transformation achieved by expanding the technology stack internally.

Full Cycle Engineer. In 2020, Joji Tsuruda joined DAIKIN INDUSTRIES, LTD. and studied AI and data analysis at Daikin Information and Communications Technology College for two years. After that, he has been working as an engineer in the Agile insourcing team. Currently, as a lead engineer, he is working to improve IT technology and development processes throughout the company by spreading the IT technology and agile culture.

Hiroki Tsukamoto

Hiroki Tsukamoto has worked on full-cycle development, focusing on back-end and CI/CD. In 2022, he joined DAIKIN INDUSTRIES, LTD. and studied AI and data applications in the company at Daikin Information and Communications Technology College. In September of that year, he joined the Agile insourcing team and worked as a full-cycle engineer. Currently, he is expanding his knowledge in the field of SRE and working to improve the technical capabilities of the entire organization.
