Introduction to Autoware
- OSS Autonomous Driving Software

Autoware is one of the first full-stack open source autonomous driving software. Unlike AD software for specific vehicles, Autoware was designed to be an open development platform robust to various hardware and use cases. In this session, the presenter will describe how Autoware has been developed in the OSS community and where we stand today. The presenter will also explain the challenges that we are still facing and about the future roadmap of Autoware development.

Ryohsuke Mitsudome

Ryohsuke Mitsudome is the chair of the Technical Steering Committee of the Autoware Foundation (AWF) with five years of experience developing Autoware, the open-source autonomous driving software hosted under AWF. His work focuses on facilitating communication and collaboration among the technical projects in the Autoware community, including organizing work group activities, managing technical contributions from AWF member companies, designing the technology roadmap of Autoware.
