Development style of in-vehicle software in the era of increasing digitalization of automobiles
The automobile industry is in a period of dramatical change once in 100 years, and there are calls for responding to new technology areas called "CASE" and utilizing new technologies. Connected technology has made cars connected to the Internet, and the amount of software running in cars is increasing rapidly, so the way cars are made is changing dramatically. In this presentation, we will introduce the example of EyeSight, which has been developing in-vehicle software in-house for more than 30 years, and explain what will happen to the development of in-vehicle software in the future.

He joined Fuji Heavy Industries in 1989. He has been involved in the development of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) for more than 30 years. Since July 2021, he has been in charge of the entire development of EyeSight as the General Manager of the ADAS Development Department, Technology Division of Subaru Corporation. He assumed the position of Executive Officer and Chief Digital Car Officer (CDCO) in April 2024.
