Latest Trends in European Mobility and SDV: Insights from THE DRIVERY Analysts

How will Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV) transform mobility and logistics, and what new value will users see? On November 11, The Drivery, one of Europe’s largest mobility-focused innovation community, opened a new base in Minato Mirai, Yokohama. In this session, an Innovation Analyst from The Drivery (Berlin) will share insights from IAA Transportation, Europe’s largest commercial vehicle exhibition, covering trends in electrification, connected services, and the move towards decarbonization.

As President of the European division at a soldering materials manufacturer, he established production bases in Europe and expanded the automotive electronics business. After holding management roles at multinational firms, he founded AmplifyJapan, providing technology scouting and trend analysis for Japanese companies. With a strong network in European universities and research institutions, he specializes in advanced technology exploration. Currently, as a Mobility Innovation Analyst at The Drivery, he delivers trend analysis reports from international exhibitions, focusing on mobility innovation.

The City of Yokohama is advancing its “YOKOHAMA Mobility Innovation” initiative, with the goal of cultivating a vibrant community of mobility startups. As part of its efforts to foster innovation and support the growth of startups, the city offers seminars, consultation services, and other resources. In December 2023, Yokohama entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with The Drivery, an innovation support organization based in Berlin, Germany, to jointly promote initiatives that support mobility startups.
