Robot Challenge 20th: Common Problems and Education on DX
-- From Manufacturing to Value Creation

Nowadays, we are experiencing digital disruption and transformation. IPSJ Special Interest Group on Embedded Systems (SIGEMB) was founded in 2005. In those years, the technologies of embedded systems were also a time of change. Around 2005, One of the core themes was to discover "common problems" to overcome this time of change. The robot challenge was one theme of those common problems. In those days, we focused on manufacturing in the robot challenge. To respond to recent requests for service creation, we added "Design Thinking" and "Communication Competency" to the education of the robot challenge. In this talk, I will introduce new "common problems" and their background in the new era.
