Introduction to labeling scheme based on Japan Cyber-Security Technical Assessment Requirements

Along with the rapid spread of IoT products, cyber threats targeting the vulnerabilities of IoT products are also increasing. For this reason, in order to ensure the security of IoT products, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry announced the “Policy for Establishing a Security Conformity Labeling Scheme for IoT Products” in August 2024. In response to this policy, IPA is preparing to launch a new “labeling scheme based on Japan Cyber-Security Technical Assessment Requirements” that will provide conformity labels to IoT products that meet the established security technical requirements. This lecture will introduce an overview of this scheme.
