Miodrag J. Mihaljevic received his Ph.D. degree from University of Zagreb in 1990. He is currently Research Professor and Deputy Director of the Mathematical Institute, Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. His topics of expertise include cryptology, information security, and blockchain technology. He experienced visiting positions at universities and research institutes in Japan, including the University of Tokyo, Sony Computer Science Laboratories, National Institute AIST, and Chuo University. Dr. Mihaljevic is an elected member (from the year 2014) of the Academia Europaea, and a recipient of the main Serbian national award for the ten-year scientific achievements in 2013.
